Meet Our Teachers
Amy Sheriff-Faison
Preschool Director& Teacher
Amy is a graduate of National Lewis University with a degree in Early Childhood and Human Development. She and her husband, Bob, are church members and the parents of two daughters. Amy joined the preschool staff in 2003.
Chris Caldwell
Teacher
Chris has been teaching in the First Congregational Preschool Kid’s Day Out program since 1996. Prior to teaching, Chris ran a daycare in her home. Chris has a son in college and a son attending Lyons Township High School.
Stephanie Catrambone
Teacher
Stephanie joined the staff in 2006. She holds a degree in early childhood development from Cannock Chase College in England. She and her husband, Anthony, live in Western Springs and are the parents of two boys.
Marcy Dusza
Teacher
Marcy joined the staff in 2011. Marcy has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Foreign Language and Speech Communications from Ripon College. She has a master’s degree in elementary education from DePaul University. Marcy and her husband Mike have three children and are church members.
Anita Gareiss
Teacher
Anita has been teaching at the preschool since 1995. She earned a BBA degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Anita and her husband, Ron, have three grown children and are church members.
Ann Miklosz
Teacher
Ann received her degree in Speech Communication from the University of Illinois. Ann has four children, all of whom went to First Congregational preschool. Ann and her husband, Mark, live in Western Springs and are members of the church.
Patti Mink
Teacher
Patti received a degree from Northern Illinois University, where she majored in Special Education and minored in Psychology. Patti worked as a registered nurse for many years, and joined the preschool staff in 2000. Patti has two sons.
Sarah Ragains
Teacher
Sarah joined the preschool staff in 2005. She is a graduate of Hope College with a degree in Elementary Education. Sarah and her husband, Jeff, have three children and are members of the church.
Kathy Seifert
Teacher
Kathy received a degree in Art Education from Ball State University. She and her husband, Achim, have three children and are members of the church. Kathy has been teaching at the preschool since 2004.
Margaret Shust
Teacher
Margaret joined the staff in 2009. Prior to joining First Congregational Preschool, Margaret was working in the phono program at L.A.D.S.E. in LaGrange. She and her husband, Steve, are the parents of three grown children.
Christy Vitek
Teacher
Christy joined the staff in 2010. She is a graduate of the University of Illinois majoring in English and history education. She and her husband Mike reside in Western Springs, and are the parents of four children, all o f whom attended our preschool.
Nancy Wintermute
Teacher
Nancy has been teaching at First Congregational Preschool since 1989. She graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Physical Education and Health. She and her husband, Bob, are members of the church and have three grown children.
Debby Williams
Teacher
Debby earned her degree in Elementary Education from Davis & Elkins College. She and her husband have four children and live in Downers Grove. Debby has been a teacher at the preschool since 1995.
