Senior Minister Search Timeline

The committee will be communicating with the congregation as to the status of our search on this webpage, in our Wednesday Weekly emails, and during Sunday worship services. Please check back frequently for updates.

Weekly Search Update 10/9/24:

In case you missed our update on Sunday, Oct. 6, we want to let you know where we are with our search:

First, our Committee remains prayerfully engaged in the search process. Further, while our entire committee has been fully present, we’d like to give a quick and special shout-out to both Christen Shorrock and Marv Baldwin, our Committee Secretary and Chaplain, respectively. Both have been immensely helpful in terms of keeping track of our activities and keeping us on track overall!

So, where are we? Well, we are right in the middle of our preliminary interviews with which we should finish by October 18. (We say “should finish” because we will not stop receiving and vetting backgrounds until we have an accepted call).

The Committee will be taking a pause for Rummage, but we should be ready to begin the second round interviews the week of October 28.

In terms of our candidate pool, we have a robust and diverse pool of Senior Minister candidates, and we remain prayerfully optimistic about the candidates overall and where we are in the process.

If you have not done so, please check out the Senior Minister tab on the Congo website. Reviewing this will give you a great view on how we are presenting our church and this opportunity to our denomination and beyond.

Again, please keep our committee in your prayers and, as always, if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to our search co-chairs, Brian Clarke or Sonja Martinez.

Peace!
