Together Women Rise (FORMERLY DINING FOR WOMEN)
2nd Tuesdays evenings, location varies.
The chapter enjoys a meal together; it may be in someone’s home or at church. Members share camaraderie and learn about that month’s featured grantees through videos, educational documents, and presentations, as well as free and open discussion. The money raised each month goes to fund the featured and sustained grantees, as well as support the entire mission of Together Women Rise. We meet on the 2nd Tuesdays in the evening (location varies).

For the second consecutive year, Together Women Rise has earned the prestigious 4-star rating from Charity Navigator, the largest independent charity evaluating service in the world! This year, our rating soared from an already impressive 91 to an outstanding 99/100! Charity Navigator is now using more up-to-date information from Together Women Rise, and our commitment to financial stewardship is paying off, with improvements in our administrative ratio, liabilities to assets, and working capital.
We’re also proud to announce that we’ve once again received the top, Platinum Seal of Transparency with Candid (formerly GuideStar).
We have a chapter of this great organization that has been meeting at First Congo for more than 10 years. All women of our church and community are invited to attend our meetings (approximately 6–8 a year) on the 2nd Tuesday of the month. Next month. we are meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 10 at the home of Joyce Smith. We try to have social time, dinner and a short program about our monthly grantee.
